COLUMBIA, S.C. - South Carolina football made its annual trip to the Richland County Public Library on Friday afternoon for the Pigskin Poets program that emphasizes the importance of summer reading.

Over 25 Gamecock players and Cocky read books, sang songs, played interactive games and signed autographs to the more than 300 children that attended this year's event. Sharrod Golightly and Jordan Diggs read Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, Devin Washington and Kelcy Quarles followed with Yo! Yes? and David Williams & Kaiwan Lewis closed it out with Messing Around.

The 2013 visit marked the 16th year of the event as Pigskin Poets rewards Friends' Summer Reading Challenge participants with interaction with Gamecock football players and reinforces the importance of setting and reaching their goals.
